The Struggle

I’m trying to get more serious about 3D modeling. It’s been about a year and a month since I started. My schedule doesn’t usually allow me time to learn or experiment as much as I want. First time jumping back in I wanted to go back to (struggling with) low poly characters. It’s fun attempting and figuring things out. Like some of the 3d artists I follow and first learned from online, I attempt at making this all from one shape and using extrusion and modifiers from there. Still need to add arms to this one. I avoid heads and faces like the plague because topology and the difficulty makes me quit but i’ll get to it. This character’s body type is a “Chibi” style. I’m currently playing Persona Q2 right now which uses this style (figure on the left) which is why I tried it. No one reads this blog (not that I promote it) but it’s calming to post. Dec 3rd, 2019.
